So, I’ve deduced that the reason for my mounting health problems (muscle, nerve, and tendon pain; incessant infections; cystic acne; worsening allergies; inability to focus; constant exhaustion) is copper toxicity from an IUD I was assured was safe. Edit: They were not discontinued this past year. I found something on it this morning and it disappeared.

However: “Several hundred milligrams of copper a year can easily be absorbed from a copper IUD. Many women still use the Copper-7 intrauterine birth control device, although it has been taken off the market. The only intra-uterine birth control device sold today, however, is a copper-T. These devices can be very harmful for women prone to high copper levels.” http://www.arltma.com/CopperToxDoc.htm

I am pretty angry at Planned Parenthood at this moment. This is in a completely personal way—not taking a shot at their services in any broad sense. Perhaps I am just incensed about being duped on a health issue and taking a doctor’s word for something without doing my own research.I was never asked if I had a high-copper, largely vegetarian diet at the time. I was never told copper was able to imbalance one’s entire system.
